Phnom Penh: A staff from National Committee for Combatting AIDS said that the new rate of AIDS transfer to people decreases to only 2 people per day. The new rate of AIDS transfer to people decreases dramatically. It decreases from 100 in 2007 and 20 in 2003 and to only 2 per day in 2006, said Mean Chivunti, Health Ministry adviser. Since 1997, Health Ministry took action to control the spreading of AIDS by educating people how the AIDS transfers to people and how to prevent it. The campaign of using condom was launched in 1998 in Sihanoukville. Seeing the success in 1998, the government employed this as the national strategy to reduce the spreading of AIDS. |
